That time of year again.

It's getting closer to the start of the season and things are almost all sorted out. All sponsors sorted, team arrangements and plans pretty much sorted. Ill be back at all the MTB world cups of course, but 4X only this year, as much as I love DH, with the scheduling changes at the races, as well as the competition getting faster every year, you really have to pick an event to concentrate on, otherwise you are selling yourself short at both, I had a great year for 4X last year, but it could be better! to say that doing both DH and 4X at world cups wears you down is an understatement, and to be honest, I have no interest in being around 30-40th in DH, which is what happens when you only get to ride your DH bike at races, as well as your training being based around 4X. But its not like Im not doing DH at all, Ill be on the DH bike at most other races we go to across Europe and North America. I just Won't be on the DH bike at world cups.

Also I'll be at 3 BMX World cups, Copenhagen - Denmark, then at the 2 last rounds after the MTB season is over, in Chula Vista - USA, and Frejus - France. Also looking forward to heading off to Luke Madills place in Sydney in a weeks time for a few days training at his place, can't wait to hang out with my homies again, at the Overlander hotel down the road haha!

Some news from home, while I love living out in the middle of nowhere, there are some dramas involved as well, Like having tanks for water, with no main water supply, and troubles with the water pump. And of course, a water pump that isnt working properly means no water for the house. I had no idea about tank pressure, and proper adjustment for cut-on and cut-off and all that, so I had to learn on the job.
The water pump is just around the corner from the main bedroom in my house, and when I went to bed last night I could hear a dripping which was causing the pump to go on and off, I should have left it until morning, when it wasn't dark, but it was annoying me and I couldnt sleep. so im out with the torch at 11pm trying to fix the drip, when the main pipe blows off the pump and water starts flowing out like a fire hose.....within 2 seconds I'm soaked, Josie is barking her head off chasing the water around, and I scare the crap out of Jess as she was still up watching a movie, and she had no idea I was outside trying to fix a leaky pipe. Im pretty sure Ive got it sorted out now though....currently no drips, good water pressure, and the pump is working like it should. Fingers crossed!

So its just over 3 weeks till I head back to the US and A! Great Success! Training has been going rad, good old T-town weather, Mostly nice, but even some rainy days thrown in to get some good mud practice! Ill be back at Sam Willoughbys place in san Diego for a few weeks to keep the training dream alive, then straight to Sea Otter, then to Europe for World Cup number 1 in Belgium. And thats about all to talk about for now! I'm off to the Man cave of pain to spin my legs around in circles!

Gravey!

Hey Gravey - good to hear you
