I've been here in San Diego now for a week, been pretty good so far. I'm getting some good training in and riding the Olympic replica track at the US training Center in Chula Vista.

Most of you reading this would know that the MTB World Champs were held in Italy last week. For me it was my 2nd race for the year back on the mountainbike, and with my 1st race back bringing me a world cup win in Fort William Confidence was high!

We had heard reports that the weather was meant to be rainy and cold all week, which is how it was when we arrived on Tuesday, but from Wednesday onwards there was nothing but sunshine and warm (sometimes hot!) weather, which was great.

Im here now at the Athertons place, and i must say it's pretty cool! The weather is nice, and there will be plenty to do to keep me occupied for the week, they have some cool riding to be done in their back yard. There is a kind of 2 man wide, deep/technical/tight track that i would desbribe as half BMX track, half pump track. Its pretty different to anything I've ridden before, so I'm looking forward to getting that dialled, and some trail style dirt jumps as well, then they have their own Gym setup here too.

It was time to get back on the Mountainbike for a couple races this past weekend, which started with the world cup in Fort William this weekend. And after my disasterous end to my hopes of a world championships win here last year with a flat tire while leading my semi final, I was out for some revenge on the course.

The weather here this year has been very unusually nice! its quite warm, just scattered clouds, you can pretty much cruise around in just a tshirt and shorts.

Just a quick update, as i have about 15 minutes battery left here, and no charger.

Just got done with the BMX Worlds in China, I had a pretty good day, and made the main but had a pretty dissapointing lap to finish 7th.
